My Personal Scan
Scanned from the purple Artemis covered Sacred Saga book by Future Studio. In mythology Athena was the virginal goddess of Wisdom & War, who protected her favourite city, Athens. The Parthenon still stands on the Acropolis in Athens, although in ruins, and clearly influenced a lot of the design for Sanctuary in St Seiya.
In Saint Seiya the young pueple haired girl Kido Saori was the reincarnation of the Goddess Athena, and it is to protect her that the five Bromze Saints often find themselves fighting to the death. She is represented here in her full God Robes, but also holding her staff that is the reincarnation of the Goddess Nike.
