Sorry, I haven't submitted a wallpaper for MT for a long time but here's my newest wallpaper.
After studying non-stop for almost three weeks, my finals are over ^^ I always wanted to make a Death Note but I admit that this the most frustrating wallpaper I've worked with yet (and thats why it's been rotting away my hard drive).
Cleaning the scan was a pain, at one point I thought of vectoring it but after much considerations I left it the way it was because I didn't want to lose the texture and highlights/shadows in the scan. I had so many ideas for the background but it was just difficult deciding how to approach it using this particular scan.
This is the results after much playing around and cleaning (oh my, there was tons of cleaning) I was going to use L but it seem more appropriate to have Mello and Near instead because

They're the ones who catches Kira--Second L--Light in the end though it's physically Near who catches him since Mello dies.
Simple, but nonetheless I'm quite happy with the results.

Very nice. I'm glad that you decided to clean up the scan instead of vectoring it; I really like the textures that are within the wall. Good work cleaning it too! For me, personally, I'd like to see the colors a little more vibrant (just a tad) right now the wall seems to be all of the same shade and a little flat because of it. Like the cross and the guy's tie would stand out more if the color pallet was a little warmer/varied. Otherwise, this is really cool. I love the text and how it dissolves into and out from behind the character(s). Very nice composition. Thanks for sharing! :pacman:

simply wow *stares* i think this is absolutely one of the coolest wallpapers i have seen made from death note ~ composition well planned and the way you placed the scan in the middle is making it very balanced looking. you did fantastic job cleaning the scan and i like the scan you used since it's very interesting because there is so much details and characters on it so it will take time to find everything, especially i like ryuk and rem on it. also like the way you placed pictures of near and mello on the background ~ the way how they are showing their back to the viewer gives nicely mysterious and also some how little bit exciting touch for the atmosphere. but they also give deeper meaning for the wall, which really brings the darkish theme of the series out to be seen wonderfully ^_^ colours you used on the background are nice ~ the light blue on the mello's side of the wall gives cold touch which the series has, while the brownish colour on near's side of the wall gives warming and the feeling of hope so they give balancing for each other really well. gray tone of the blood effects combines the background well with the scan of raito and the shinigamis and it gives nicely fragile pattern for the work which brings the dramatic touch for the atmosphere. you have made awesome work ~ surely would deserve more attention, thank you for sharing !

I currently have this set as my wallpaper. This is probably my favorite wallpaper on this site! I love all the dark colors and textures that are in it. Keep up the good work.
