The whole time I was making this wallpaper, I kept hearing that No Myth (Romeo in Black Jeans) song in my head :3 Flashback.
I remember when Gankutsuou came out, a lot of people were upset that it wasn't following the original story. However, I was ecstatic. What's the point of repeating the same old story in the same old way when you have an avenue as limitless of animation to bring any fantasy to life?
As soon as I saw this image, I scanned it and started working on it. Romeo x Juliet is proving to be anything but a cookie cutter version of the story, and because of that, I like it even more. I completely re-drew (or "vectored") the original scan, and even created the background using vectors and textures to make the stones look right. I was seconds from texturing it, but then decided this was just perfect with a glossy finish. It was tedious, but we'll just say this time it was a labor of love ;D

I really love RomeoxJuliet and I'm really grateful to you for making and posting such an amazing piece of art in MT : great vectoring of the 2 characters, neat/clean/smooth looking wall, and, Gosh!, such a stunningly well made BG! Before I read your description I seriously thought you actually vectored it too (which would have been GREAT too) but to think you actually made it from scratch is mind blowing!
