Artist Comment

Since this year, my school's agenda cover was LITERALLY white text in TIMES NEW ROMAN font written in a straight line across a half gold half red background, the office has asked all the art students to submit design for next year's agenda (go figure). :hmpf:

Well, long story short, here's my design. ^^

I'm probably going to submit two more... just because my friend said this design is too "sexist" as it only contains a girl, so I'll do another one with a girl AND guy... and a third one as a joke because a friend of mine requested something.... :P

Technical Stuff/Comments: I'm really happy with the way this one came out actually! It's all done in marker + inking pen, with the exception of a slight black and white pencil crayon and the colors for her eyes...

And I've always had a thing for adding little dot-bubbles things with my silver pen as a side-design... though, naturally, they NEVER Show up... thus this time used navy blue and they show up and I think looks quite nice like this ^^

I think her skin came out quite smooth and nice this time (yay blender :P), and it's much more intricate than my last marker-ed piece (broken angel) and I'm really glad... ^^ overally I'm quite happy with the final result, especially since I didn't need to adjust the colors at ALL! Yay!

Media: inking pens, prismacolor markers (canary yellow, pewter, cloud blue, crimson red, cool grey 20%, 50%, 80%, eggshell, sand, blush pink goldenrod, colourless blender, navy blue), prismacolor pencil crayon (black, white, grass green, dark green, violet), permanent marker. :nya: OX

Ooo, is an agenda cover like a yearbook? That's cool that you guys get to design it! I really like your design for this one. The lettering, the bubbles, and the shading on the girl. I'm not quite a big fan of her hat... and I think her eyes might look better if they were darker (To match her hair color). But overall it's a stunning work! I would have killed to have a nice looking yearbook cover like this one back in high school! :)
