Well, I seem to have drawn more painting-like wallpaper ever since creating this piece as a start. It always give a different atmosphere to make a wallie from paintings -- there's a kind of 'seriousness' which only few anime-like artworks can give.
Featuring Yoshitaka Amano's work in Vampire Hunter D. The raw material was taken from
here, with credit goes to DREAM for uploading it ;) . In this pic, I tried to explore a
'dreamy' theme, with soft colors on the focus. I also added some flowers there, in order to enhance the
atmosphere.
(it was lucky that I got some flowers stock drawn by Amano-sensei himself :hmpf: )
The picture was meant to depict a dream of having a loved one near you: a pleasant one, though hazy and unreal at the other side. Well... at least that was what I aimed to create, though. Don't know how the viewers will look upon it. ^_^'
Done using Adobe Photoshop CS, with 11 layers used. Working time was 4-to-5 hours in a day.
