Urgh, this frustrated me so much! The vector was done and then I spent like, 4 hours staring at the computer screen
hoping some sort of background would pop into my mind... and this is what came. But I guess it's ok... I mean, the
vector takes up room and I didn't want it too cluttered, ya feel?
Sparkles are stronger near the bottom right 'cause that's where they originate from (not 'cause my hand
spasmed :p)
Time: 7+ hours (vector & wall)
Layers: 24
Listening to: Random One Piece music. In particular: Compass by Kawashima Ai, which so far if my favorite song of 2007~

Eek xD Sooo good!
The background matches with the blue of her hair and clothing well.
But an idea, seeing you added some snow falling, maybe a blizzardy background might work? anyway... its a suggestion. -

the vector seems nicely clean and soft. But maybe I would have like to see a little bit more action in the composition, or something more in the bg. Those abstract swirly lines don't really ..I don't know what they're doing there. haha -

weee sparklies! :D I love the background colours and patterns (btw how did you shade her hair? with textures, brushes, or gradients?), it's very eye-friendly and pretty :) love the swirls around her hair too ^^

Perhaps this isn't your most "daring" BG but it really suits Lucia. What is indeed spectacular is the work with the scan, specially the eye... really something worth downloading :D

Thumbnail is very deceiving, as it looks very simple at first. However, with full view you can see a wonderful blending of colors, especially in the hair ^_^

beautiful wallpaper ~ especially love the different blue colours you used, they give bit cold touch to the atmosphere but they are quite calm and gives nicely mysterious feeling for the background. character looks really cool and vectoring is well done, lining is really clear and soft colours balance the black lining colour nicely so it blends more within the whole concept. colouring of the character's hair is really nice, like the way how the tones are changing from darker to lighter blue with the touch of purple since it gives really fascinating touch for the character. also like the effect in her eye, it works wonderfully as an eye catcher but also gives little bit fearsome touch to her look. background is quite empty but it suits with the character and it makes you focus for her better. the way background colouring is shiny and tones changes combines with the character's hair and for the eye too so the character and background don't look too separated elements. glimmering gives magicalness and emphasize the shiny lighting. skin colour of the character balances the bluish theme well by giving warming and brightening so the atmosphere isn't too cold. overall great work and thank you for sharing !
