I first went for a vector and ended up with this painty look, still dont know why

ah lady alterlier you never seize to surprise me. actually i do not care much for the original photograph on deviantArt. but i like your version. i am not sure about the green border but i love the textures and how a small piece of the "lovers" shoulders are visible.
btw- i am jealous of your brushing skills and textures. ^^
