Wh00t! This is the start of my Easter Break. :) I'm so happy since I get to catch up on finishing overdue banners and wallpapers. ^_^'

Now enough about me, this vector is sumitted for the "Breaking the Boundaries" Contest hosted at vectory.

This one will be something I'll never forget for a long time. I delayed this one on late Janruary, but delayed this vectory on February until I got back and push my butt off by doing this on March. My eyes felt like they were bleeding just by trying to straight out the outlines of everything and having not enough sleep plus the fact there are people constructioning my house and distrubting of me in my sleep when they come in the morning.

Inpiration: Breaking the Boundaries Contest
Started: Around near the Janruary - April 1, 2007
Hours: 60 hours within a month
Layers: About more than 200+
Hardest Part: Everything
Easiest Part: None at all DX
Credits: The scan I used can be found right here.
Notes: Will update more descriptin of the vector later plus more depth to the shding too.

I took 60 hours on this vector and seriously nothing in here was easy. Including the soft shading wasn't as easy as I thought it was. >=( Everything was difficult and especially it was definately a challenge. I'm just glad I'm done, but I don't like the results of the soft cell shading. It looks so horrible. T_T If you don't like it I'll post a non soft cell shading if there's enough people who want to see it. :x I can't think of a background for now because the deadline of the contest was about 1h and 20minutes ago so I need to submit it soon before they will decide to not accept this vector (which I work so hard out of all the vectors I've made so far). OX

I'll update more depth for the shadings later and more description of it, but for now I'm very tired and needs some shut eye. X-O

[Edit] - Just wanted to give a shoutout to entity-chan for thanks to her tips and the ideas it solved most of the problems when I had vector-block on doing this. :) Thank you so much. :D

Of course I will make a background of this vector, but not right now. I just posted the vector earlier just in case if it would still be accepted in the contest.

Update the source where I found the scan.

[Edit 2] - Just updated with a background for this vector finally. I'm not so sure if it'll show on the thumbnail, but the backgroudn came from a scan in Okami so I decided to use that since I couldn;t tink of anything. Well I added cherry blossom for her and took garra-no-shukaku's advice and gave some light to the sword, but I couldn't do anything about the square pixels around her hair. ^_^'

Note that I got the title came from Switchfoot song "Dare You to Move". I frogot about to menton it because I didn't remember the artist who sung it. Well I won't update anymore so enjoy! ;)

OMG, you finished it, and right on time! This vector is amazing! It's like, perfect! Who says no one can vector perfectly? Did I say that? Well that's before I saw this! Wow, I'm envious of your talent! And you must have put a LOT of work and time on this. I'm just...wow. Fave from me!

  7. gaara-no-shukaku Apr 01, 2007

The title reminds me of Switchfoot's song =D
You know I'm not into blurred vectors, so I won't say anything about it.
Anyway, great work on the hair strands, which I think the death part. The lines are very smooth, though some curves look squarey. If only you can change the sword's colour to a shining one, it'll look better.

I can feel my eyes popping out of my head just looking at the outlines, nevermind actually doing them! (Gah, actually, I'm procrastinating doing outlines on my latest vector T_T).

Anyways, this is great! The eyes are so pretty oto :D

    Fantastic work :D
