Series Vector Project [Rozen Maiden]: #2
Project Duration: 3/27-3/28
This is the second doll of the Rozen Maiden lolitas, Jade Stern. Notice how smaller the vector is this time around. I was experimenting with size of outlines and smoothing them out by shrinking the vector, and I discovered this: If I blow up the image, and do the outlines in that size, then I get smaller outlines (which makes it a whole lot easier for me). Blah, blah, blah...*tapes her mouth shut*
Anyways, the difficulty I found in this project was her long bonnet. Then again the frails and the evil darkness of...shading...was the worst. But I enjoy it nonetheless. Once I stop crying of hand cramps and eye staring, that is. '_'

that's some clean vector, I really like how the outline looks, pretty smooth and all but I agree with gaara, the blurriness in her eyes is annoying.

Outlines are veyr neat and especially very thin too. :o I'm surprised your able to make it so clean and especially teh thin outlines are rubenz mentoned.
I don't know much about the series, but I can't help since it's one of you wonderful vectors. :x The eyes are very good, but I kind of agree with alterlier. I think it might've been too blurry for my taste. :x
I agree, the outlines do get smaller the more you resize the image. :) That's what I've noticed with my Vector Ten turned out. :)

I like the vector and the eyes. I think blurry eyes -still in vectors- looks good (when they are made well). Sometimes it's preferable to use blur in the whole vector (shades, eyes, skin) or simply not to use it, but I think the blurry eyes aren't seen badly in vectors. My vectors have blur and blurry eyes and to be honest I think I did it well and cute. Don't worry Entity! you make nice vectors, always :)

your vectoring work sure is awesome ~ how do you have so much patience to do so detailed and so fast ? lining is really neat, it's clear and brings the details, specially the curves of the character's curly hair nicely better to be seen. highlights and shading on the hair makes it shiny and emphasize the lining so that they strengthen each other nicely and brings the shapes of the hair even more clearly out. dress is wonderfully done ~ especially like the way you didn't do lining to all of the wrinkles but made them with the shading, it makes the textile look natural and still the wrinkles come neatly and are real looking ^_^ also like the way you didn't make the lace ribbon with black coloured lining, light lining emphasize the sensitiveness and the fact that it can brake easily. light lining also gives nicely balancing for the black lining colour. eyes of the character are pretty, like the soft colouring and the highlight in them, they aren't so striking so it makes the character's look be very cute. colouring is overall wonderfully done, it's smooth and shadings work well on their places. green background colour fits with the character nicely and light green balances the colour from the dress but also brings the character better to be seen and makes you focus for her. circles add nicely stylish touch. wonderful work and thank you for sharing !
