Heya guys!
This is my entry for the third Doujin-Arena
contest.
I've chosen to re-draw the Tarot card "The Hanged Man", featuring one of my original characters, Mikhail
Nakamura.
I guess this is the card that fits him the most, once it stands for something like a "deserved punishment"
from which you can't escape and you can do nothing about that.
He was supposed to have his hands behind his back and a passive face (I know), but I simply couldn't resist to make
it different, after all, it's my point of view of this card. Here it is. Also, I think it fits too very well for
his role in the story, once he can't go against it, he must do something he doesn't like, but he has no choise
but to do it and, in the end, he will pay for it. I guess this card shows that more than best.
About the image itself, the background was an oold photo with some clouds I worked out and some typing by me (I
couldn't resist... Typing!) I thought that dressing him with the uniform of the keepers would be the best for the
work... It's because he's a keeper that he has to "play his role"... ...Drawing someone in this
posision is kinda difficult... I guess the BG looks like chocolate... : ) About the movement effect on his leg, that was
the most difficult part, I needed to try around 50 times unitl it gor fine. I guess, if not, please tell me. I was
thinking to make it look like it was just caught. By that black thing.
Ah too, "O Enforcado" stands for "The Hanged Man", I should have put that in English, but I have this bug in me that keeps me tittling
my works in Portuguese.
Made in PS7, mouse (once again, darn you mouse!). Around 3-4 hours. And a cup of tea.
Ok, that's all. : )
Comments are appreciated.
