I love Atelier Iris! After playing Ar Tonelico, I wanted to try out some more games by GUST. My friends bought me Atelier Iris for my birthday used because it's not in production anymore, but I STILL LOVE IT XD
I just bought Atelier Iris: The Azoth of Destiny, and I can't wait for Atelier Iris 3 to come X3 Will preorder it when the time comes =]
In my opinion AI was better than Ar Tonelico *dodges objects thrown by AT fans* I love the characters and I love the sprites XD *not particularly a graphic hugger* I'm almost done the game but I had to make a wallpaper out of it. Since there aren't any clear alchemic circles from Atelier, I borrowed a circle from FMA and set it in the back~

Very nice idea. :) The two separate elements work very well together. Maybe it's just my eyes, but the characters seem just a tad blurry. Hrm...I can't quite tell. I really like all the "smoke and mirrors" that you've incorporated with all the effects. And I've seen all these character images separate before, but this is a nice group compilation that I haven't seen with them put together. Nice work.
And I agree - Atelier Iris is a GREAT! game! XD I would consider myself a "graphics hugger" (as you so eloquently put it ;) ) but I miss my 2D sprites darn it! So when I saw the Atelier series I barely hesitated to go right out and buy it. It's a lot of fun - shameless plug - go buy it people! :pacman:

Nah it's not really blurry. I just wanted to make the characters look a bit softer. I really like the sprites in Atelier Iris XD And I said I'm not really a graphics hugger. As long as there's decent gameplay and characters, I'm in.
I'm definitely pre-ordering Atelier Iris 3, the techniques look awesome from what I've seen~ I'm not letting this game go >_> The other two took a while to find. -
