PLEASE FULL VIEW! It looks much better if you do. ;)

I'm back with my newest submission.
Yup, I'm still on a roll with vectors... XD

Casitta was inspired from an advertisement banner I saw in the mall. The mall's really a nice place to get ideas from (ads, banners, and stuff) ^_^'
The ad had a city with swirly stuff. It was really a beautiful ad, and that inspired me to do a vector. :D Before I made this one, I practiced with curves A LOT in Illustrator after my first vector. (Take note: no tablet!) So you can just imagine how hard it is to draw with a mouse.. OX So pardon for the things you think are imperfections... it's expression in art. ;)

I was going for the simple, swirly, sort of a nouveau Spanish look. As you can see, I paid more attention to the hair - as they say, our hair is our crowning glory. :) I tried to keep it nice and simple as possible, I didn't want to "overswirl" it, else it'd look like clutter. Also 'cuz it's the main attraction.

This is the result of one week's worth of work. I used many photos of women as a reference on how to draw the woman, and brushes as a guide on doing the swirls. Done in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Its got a few rough edges, but your design is really good. And I see a face there too ^^

Without reading the description of your wall, it reminded me of advertisement. But not the present ads, rather like it had been in the 50's or 60's. It looks as if a special elegant hat was presented and the font that you have chosen supports this impression as well. I think her face should have been a bit longer. It looks a bit compressed to me. About the curves... it takes some time to get used to them. U don't really need a tablet for making curves. Only if you want to draw curves free hand a tablet may be useful. :) I don't really mind small imperfections... they are not really visible. So the small existing "imperfections" may only become visible cause you write about them in your description. :) Well I definitely enjoy the "retro look" that you have managed here.

ooh, nice! I like the swirlies :) and her eyes ^^ though I think the line for her neck kinda ends a bit abruptly, maybe have to loop back or something, like the rest of her hair/hat?

I like how the bold and thin lines work together on a very simple background. And the purple glows give a different depth on the very limited colours you put. Nice job.
