Where do I start....God knows...
Well when I saw the scan I knew I had to do something with it. It's pretty obvious how awesome it is. So I decided to take on the challenge of vectoring Haruhi. And it really was a challenge for me. I'm still new to vectoring, but I was determined to pull it off. Now I'm just incredibly glad it's finally finished. ^_^
This pic was pretty hard to vector...there are so many dark places (the skirt, the hair...), plus the scan I used had text on it. (The textless version, which you can find here, was too small for me). And there are a lot of little details. But I tried my best.
Time:
Outline- 14 hrs 10 mins
Colouring- 6 hrs 30 mins
Total- 20 hrs 40 mins (God, I'm tired...x_x)
Layers: 60
When I was done I added a little bit of texture to her leggings and the frills on the side of the skirt, to give them a more mesh-y look. The frills are semi-transparent. I noticed the leggings weren't the same colour all the way down in the scan, so I created a similar effect in the vector. I almost didn't add the diamond-shaped necklace, but I decided to include it, it's just a bit different than the original. And I added a little design to it.
You're probably thinking the shape of the skirt looks weird ^_^. Well I just looked at the scan and tried to see how the skirt was...it looked kinda sideways and it seemed to trail down so that's what I did. I can always change it if I come up with something better.
Wow, I'm certainly babbling a lot. I'll wrap it up. I really hope you like my vector because I worked super hard on it! I know it's not perfect but it's a personal best for me! Please comment, and if you use this vector in a wall please credit me! Also please show it to me, I'd love to see it. I think a lot of great walls could be made with this pic ^_^. OMG! Is it me or you have improve so quickly. This is your second vector I mean!
Despite some minor flaw I saw on the show I can't believe a lot of the parts were so smooth. Another would be some parts like the hair and including the cross nacklace can be jaggy and some other parts. >_<
I like the textutre idea you put on her legs. It gives a more sense of feeling I think in my opinion. :) Seriously patience is very rewarding when it comes to making in the elite gallery and so it the vectoring. Keep on vectoring! This shoes you have potential to stand out well.
Oh noes! You have more favs and comment than my vector "My Valentine". So lucky! >_< Well not now, but soon you'll have more since this vector already got into the popular and especially the one of the top popular vector out of all the submitted ones. You should be proud! :) Makes me add you into my jealous vector people. >.<
