The city (never) sleeps

Hi to everyone here :) I am very new, actually just subscribed yesterday. I also opened a thread to say HI a bit to the community.

Um, so sometimes I try to make something with photoshop. As a result I'd like to post from time to time in the wallpapers section. I like to be busy with photoshop when I can and learn about it, but it all depends on the time and imagination I have. You probably know what I mean :)

Thus. This wallpaper came out of my mind when I found the picture of the girl on a CD with several pictures. I think it's already in my possession for ages, you may have seen it somewhere before. I wanted to create something with her on a fitting background and this is what came out. The city sleeps, or never sleeps, as you wish ;)

In fact, the result is more or less what I had in mind, although I started out with a completely different idea But in the end, it's quite fitting, I thought. I tried to give the overall a bit of a "dirty" or "vague" look, because there's this idea, that big cities are never very clean. Well, I was inspired a bit by Brussels; when I walk around the city, I never see it as a very clean place. This was also where I was inspired for making the graffiti thingies... Hope you like them :)

So, I applied some combination of filterings to create the background, and to work on the foreground pieces. It was fun !

Resolution : as for the resolution, I worked on a notebook with a 1280x800 resolution so it's fitting for widescreens. I'd like to apologize for all the people that work on regular TFT or resolution, but I found it rather hard to find a good fitting anime/manga wallpaper for my widescreen notebook... So I thought, why not make one myself, maybe I'll make some others with the same 'problem' happy :D

I placed the wallpaper under the 'unknown Ecchi' category. I don't think the girl presents any known character from some series and is just a creation of someone sometime. But I thought she looked damn good to fit her in a background, don't you think ? :sweat: Well, she looks a bit Ecchi to me... no ?
Correct me if I'm wrong, of course.

I used photoshop CS2, there are around 60 layers, although I did some merging during work. The filesize is around 350kb.

Please, try not to be too harsh, this is only my first work on MT. I have seen incredible creations here, but I'm afraid my skills can't compete those at the moment :\ Thanks for looking and have a great day ! CU :)
