Well, this is my first wallie that I'm posting online but actually this wallie is around my 10th attempt. All the others were quite crappy and sucktastic so I threw them away.
This wallie isn't much pretty either but I think it turned out ok
The wallpaper itself is quite simple although this wallie was a huge challenge for me.....
Anyways, I know what all you are thinking
"Who's that tall version of Illya?"
To answer that question.... THat's Illya's mom... Sexy huh?
She appears on Fate/Zero the novel which takes place before Shirou's Holy Grail
War. So it's Kiritsugu's Holy Grail War. Actually I have the novel but it's in
Japanese so I can't read it. They don't have it in Korean yet 
Anyway for Illya's mom, I used Gaussian blur and lowered the oppacity to around
40% (A skill I learned from Devildude quite a long time ago 
) and
I used smart blur and I used few more filter jobs but I don't remember all
them.....
Oh, and I emphesized her eyes by copying only the eyes out then pasting them
then using Hue/Saturation
For Illya, I copied the original layer then used gaussian blur and lowered the oppacity again like Illya's mom and put it over the original layer which the layer property was changed to soft light
The background is just a normal background with another layer of weird skill that I learned from a tutorial site and that text is also what I learned from the tutorial site.
I was thinking of putting wings on them since the title includes the word "fairies" but the wing effect was too hard for me to try out.
It doesn't look much like it but there were around 25 layers.
I kept merging them while making it so I don't remember the exact number but it
was around 25 layers.
Photoshop isn't as easy as it looks :sweat
Sorry my wallie isn't as fabulous as all the other people's wallie.... but

Nice wallpaper!
For the most part, it looks pretty good. Illya stands out a bit from her background and surroundings, though.
And yes, Illya's mom is quite the hottie!
That background suits Illya's mother very, very well. Illya herself doesn't really fit though, probably due to that particular scan's coloration. Or it might just be the brightness, or possibly how it's snowing on her but nowhere else, something just isn't right about her in that wp. My only other complaint is the 'snow' on the title, it would probably work much better as either a isicle effect, or just with snow powdered on top...it seems like a cut-out the way it is currently.
