If that's a texture slaped on top of the wall then... I request a textureless version!
Ifnot then... err....Yay for POR entries wheeeeeeeeeee

My entry for Paint-o-Rama's "Let there be Light" contest.
Yes, it's loli-tastic. I dedicate it to Osi just because of that. Actually, I chose the scan because I decided to go for the "light filtered
through trees" sort of lighting, and because it had a nice spring theme to it.
I won't comment much on this wall since you can read all about how I made it here. In essence: scan
extension + watercolor clone = happy fun fun wallpaper!

Anime. But seriously: FEEL THE WIDESCREEN LUUUURVE!
No, there is no "texture-free" version. When you use watercolors in
Painter, it pulls the paper texture with it. In fact, Painter has dozens of nice paper, canvas, and other media textures
you can paint on, but I stuck with the basic paper texture since I always think of watercolors being on paper, not
canvas.
If you look at the zoomed in screenshots in the walkthrough, you'll see the texture is there when you start
painting. It has not been added in post-production, although I did do some minor adjustments to the agressiveness of the
texture.

Yeah, a texture-less version would be cool.
Excellent job on extending the scan =D -

Was the texture supposed to be like a paper or canvas? Just wondering.
I have to agree with the above posters, great job naturally, and yay for widescreen! -

I am personally fine with the texture and it reminds me of chinese paintings on rice paper or something. The feeling is awesome and I wish I was her...sitting underneath a tree without brown snow in the grass...T_T

I was staring at the wall and trying to figure out why it looked like the branches were going down level to her feet... and then I realized it was because the branches and the girl all had the same focus. I usually don't like the distance blur look in walls, but in this case without it I definitely feel like the feeling of distance/depth gets lost a bit. Apart from that some of the parts where the green flower stems stick out directly from the thick brown branches look a little off, but I'm going to stop the nit-picky comment now because all-in-all it's still a lovely wall, and the scene is very pretty.

ooh pretty! I like the shadows on the grass ^^
hmm, the texture... I don't mind it, it gives a nice watercoloury feel, but I think it's a bit over-textured. and I kinda have to agree with flyin' about the perspective blurr thing, though I guess it wouldn't really fit with the painty feel...
anyway, I like the bright spring colours :) nice change to see in the middle of winter :D

I personally like the textures :3 maybe it's because i'm a texture whore :3
but I think the walls extremely well executed, as usual, and the painting is awesome *checked out tutorial* -

I like how your painting technique went. You really handled it well to give the Sakura flowers shape and yet some depth with a little shadow. I like the different perspective because it's from the above. The frass shadows were really good and so was how you shaped the trees trunk. Definately a fave. ;)
