As you can see, I'm practicing my skills to become some day a full-prepared mangaka... many people here has the same dream that I have, so it won't be very difficult if I work hard and find the right story for my debut. I already have a story but I'm still practicing and making the final arrangements on many aspects of the main story, but it doesn't matters if I need to practice before.

The scene represented below it's the suppoused moment when a very sad girl (the girl on the center of the right bottom of the page) founds out that somebody that she loves killed her mother very long ago. The text it's written in spanish and maybe you won't understand what says there but that's not the point... let's put clear some aspects of this "pilot page" of mine.

DRAWING FILE_001: Aleatory page of manga.
ARCHIVE DATA............

Paper Type: I already said that I'm not rich so I buy the cheapest drawing paper ever made.
Base: Number 2 STAEDTLER black pencil... I guess you know it n.n
TIME THAT THIS CRAP TAKE ME: 2 WEEKS X.x
Steps for get some quality on my work...

First: The planning of the scenes was a little difficult, it was my first work with manga pages and comic format. Please, you better admire the draws and not the "scenes" XD

Second: Once that I got on my mind the planning, I made a little sketch about the planning.

Third: Definition of the main lines with a black pen... it was a complete mess.

Fourth: EVERYTHING was coloured with EDDING 404 water-resistant black marker. Then, I gave some "shades of grey" at this work with my black pencil, and difuminated it using some cooking paper.

Fifth: This time, I jumped over the redefinition of the main lines part... I was too tired for it XD

Sixth: I guess there was nothing left than scan it and try to exibit in this page... and I did a wonderfull job with the "scanning" part jajajaja

I hope you qualify my work and tell me how many possibilities do you think that I got on the "manga universe". Please, it's very important to me X.x

Sincerely yours: RenaissanceLady-K or ladykagura

From her doujin here, ladykagura looks like she's on her way to becoming a successful mangaka. Her skill with the pen is evident from the amount of depth and realism she is able to give the characters/scenery in this piece. Congratulations and keep up the great work!

Excellent work. You've added heaps of details and it looks fabulous. Every little sketch marks add a sense of professionalism to it and you've done well with the layout as well. It'd be good if it was less blurry, but it's still a great work.

Like euna said, excellent work! Looking at all of your previous character designs your manga looks like it'll have one heckuva cast and story! As for this first page, lovely job working with monochrome!

I think the panels are a bit too chaotic. With those grayscales, those details and the small panels the viewer's eye gets lost and it takes some time to appreciate the things that are actually on this drawing. So that's the point: it is a bit overloaded. You should create a bit more of a contrast on the next pages so that reading the comic would be easier. Professional mangaka even work with blank white backgrounds to let the reader relax a bit.
But it is a very wonderful page nevertheless. It has some surrealistic atmosphere about it because of the visual chaos (one does not get the situation at first but sees some emotional visuals that want to be identified).
btw: Is the smoke on the first page going behind the moon? xD

It's awesome, I love the details, *fav

I agree with eunasahng, a less blurry version would be nice. Maybe a little bit more use of the Level tool in Photoshop, to get rid of the greys and turn them into blacks and whites, too. Overall, I love the idea though, the character design is great. :D I can't wait to see more!

It is kind of messy but I believe you can improve your skills and hopefully, you can create a better version.Still, this is a very good artwork:nya:
