Original Name Before Completion: Sakura in Wonderland: High Hopes Meet Low Places
Project Duration: 1/24-1/31
Do you believe this vector took me a whole week to complete? Well, there's a story behind this: I was vectoring another vector and I was focusing more on the Vectory contest submission more than this scan. Not only that, I realized that the mushroom, the golden sign, and the whole complexity of the scan would take me a while to vector to get as close as the original as possible. And speaking of scans, it was weird that no one tried to vector the scan Sakura In Wonderland, originally submitted by saikusa. I had to search for it in the gallery, page 10 I believe, which a ton of scans were good for vectoring. But I chose this scan because it's cute and challenging both at the same time.
I've made a new record! This is the only vector which received the rightful organization of creating 200+ layers, mostly being groups and sub-groups, but without even counting I guess I approximately used that much.
I tried to do the sign letters in Illustrator but I realized that all my groups flattened upon import, so I couldn't do that. I guess I'm too experienced in Photoshop to switch to a new program (but just in case I'm keeping Illustrator anyways =3)
The hardest part of this vector were the mushrooms. As stated above I wanted to perfectly resemble the scan, so vectoring the mushrooms and the blending and the blurring....Oi... It's as close as I wanted it.
That seems to be all, I think. My brain doesn't work well in the mornings.
