It's really good except when you look at the girl standing in front of the tree and the tree behind her, the
colours are too different styles
The kimono needs different colours of black since the tree and three is filled with a million different shades of
brown
but anyway, nice stuff

Anyway, the scan is completely re-painted with shadows and light added. I just find it scary. Like, imagine you're walking in a park and you suddenly see some random red-eyed kimono-wearing girl! It's crazy!

question: did you vector her completely, or just the black parts of her kimono? Also, did you smudge the petals at all?
I like the trunk, and I commend your patience in painting all those individual petals :D
but I do kinda agree with acid-awakening, that the style of her kimono doesn't quite fit with the background and her face. I think it's because there probably should be some dappled shading/lighting on her clothes as well, so maybe make parts of her kimono less black and the shadows more defined? Also, the blue part on her kimono is cell-shaded, so it doesn't quite fit with the painty style either. Some smudging would help.
Oh yeah, also I think it'll look better without that piece of tree trunk in the upper left corner. It's too dark and disembodied (:D) to tell what it is imo (it could look like a corner of a door-type-thingy)...

she actually has two kimono that showed in tv series........
this one i believe appeared in the first (segment?).....dont know the correct words.......
anyways.......the second kimono that the girl used in jigoku shoujo II is sakura theme.......i feel that kimono fits better for this bg......... -

You know what. Enma looks so scary here. It reminds me of a local legend here in my country. They said when you walk by past a large tree with all sort of hanging leaves of flowers (just like this one), you will eventually met with a child. This child will tell you she has lost her toys and want your help. As you 'search', you end up finding a tombstone and heard a shrieking scream and laughter. (shiver....)
