I really like the soft feeling of it.
Beautiful stock too.

I got the original scan from The APA gallery (scan here). It's a rather washed-out, sketchy scan so I decided to re-paint it in Photoshop. I have never repainted anything in Photoshop like this -- usually I draw by hand and just touch things up. MY HAND NEARLY DIED. And then I cried because when I put Cheza's and Kiba's painted faces over the parchment bg that I also painted from scratch most of the details in their faces (specially Kiba's) were muted.
Oh, well.
The background map was taken from a university history book. It's a pretty old version of the world. Then I smudged things around a bit so the places are hard to recognize. (Can you find Japan?) I also smudged around Cheza, Kiba, and the text to further extend the cracked, aged parchment feel.
Overall, I guess I was trying to project the wolves' long journey toward Paradise with this wall.
