Hello. I recently got some ideas about what I wanted to do from other members. I used those ideas to create this wallpaper. It turned out totally different than what I had originally pictured. In fact, I hadn't a clue what scan to use for my idea. I wanted to make an alter with many candles stacked around a single character. But, I couldn't find a scan that would suit that idea. So, I used two or three different scans from Xenosaga and its predicessor Xenogears. The idea of using candles still lingered in my mind and I wanted to use it. A single candle was made for the wall required not many as the idea I had now was much more simple. Extracting the scans was almost tedious. That alone was 3 hours of precision mouse clicking. I had to paint the white spots of the hair so they wouldn't clash with the colors that they lay over. 3D images are hard to extract because of the detailed hair. But, when you do it right it looks good. I've seen the results of what pros have done. That's how I know. The walls were done with my own brushes. The bottom(green) part of the walls have a slight pattern fill of a very low opacity to blend with the texture of my brush. The floor and all around wood grain was easily accomplished- a simple gradiant light brown to dark brown, and a filter(wave) to alter the lay of colors. I made the doors, the walls, the wood paneling on the walls, the floors, the carpet, the light, painted the candle and it's holder, and I created the picture frame all from scratch. The only things I didn't do was the three scans of Xenosaga and Xenogears Females. M.O.M.O. and Nephalim. Just thought, I'd let you know.

This Wallpaper is dedicated to two members. One of them is ThingPerson. The other is Nekosasu. Thingperson inspired me with new ideas. And Nekosasu might not be aware of this but, one wallpaper made by Nekosasu inspired me to try something different. Thank you both.

Comments are welcome.

Nice and original.

Looks like Hand painted. :)

Good work !

Don't forget that the girl in the painting is Elly.

what program did you use to make the candle?
the light effect is really well organized and the whole picture is altered by the atmosphere of the shadow.

Nice Work

My only major problem is that the scans could have been extracted better, but I know its a hard thing to do...But your backround is amazing and I love the whole feel of this wallpaper.

wow nice one..! ^^

i think this would be brilliant without the girl on pink air and without the red carpet. this distracts you.
the best part: the right half of this wallpaper. is great.
