Neat! This is a great first vector. I like the combination of colours and how everything melds in together. The image you chose probably contributed to that :P Can't wait to see your future vectors ;)

This is the character Curly Brace from Cave Story, a.k.a. Doukutsu Monogatari. Done after the ingame character portrait found on this page.
Believe it or not, after so many years of using photoshop, I never really learned how to vector! Yup, that's right. I have always ignored the pen tool, as I tend to ignore other aspects of the program that don't make sense to me ^_^'. Well, thanks to the awesome Imanimetions tutorial, which is very straightforward, I finally got it!
I thought I'd try my hand at making a very simple vector, which this image seemed well suited for. Since it's my first vector, it's quite basic. But I like it nonetheless. Hope you do too :D. I intend to make more complex vectors in the future to be sure XD.

That is a nice way to start vectoring. I dunno much about vectoring but I'm surprised that you could get that blurry little image to this lovely wallpaper. :) The only thing that I don't like is the background, but that's not part of the vector! ^_^' I would have liked it a brighter blue, like in the vector! Nonetheless, very awesome vector! XD

For a first piece, it definitely looks good enough ;) I still use a n00b-ish technique in Paint Shop Pro for my vectors, but it's high time I moved on, too... -_-'
