Hiyo! It's been a long time (as always) since I finished a wallpaper, I'm procrastinating way too much u_u;
Well I had been working on this wall since my first Rozen Maiden wall (Besinnung). I always wanted to vector Suiseiseki (often referred to
as DESU, hi /b/rotha ^^) and already had a neat scan I found on 4chan (props to DollAnon XD). But it did take me about 1
month to complete the vector, there had been quite a lot of small details to take care of. The background is vectored as
well, and if you watched Rozen Maiden tr�¤umend, yes it's the same bg as in the opening sequence ^^
Then nothing. Several months without activity, and I thought I would never be able to finish anything. Only recently was
I able to reopen my Desu wall again (with my new computer = teh win) and restart working on it.
I was originally working on a widescreen version (click!) but I figured that a 4:3 version would be
more convenient for everyone. I still worked on the widescreen version until the wall was done at 95% (click here), and the rest of
the work, which was basically the lighting and the bloom effect has been poured into the wall you see up there.
Special thanks to ShiNN and muz for giving me precious advice on lighting and blending techniques, you guys are awesome!

Oh and the title of the wall... well, Suiseiseki very often says "desu" at the end of her sentences so...
DESU! XD
By the way, I very recently started an anime blog (neko's thinkbox) ^_^ There's not much content there yet, but at least I'm offering further resolutions for this wallpaper :D

wow, the vector is nicely done and i like the background :) the colours are lovely and suit her well :D the lighting looks nice although her shadow looks a bit strange but it could just be the way im looking at it [hope i didnt offend you ^_^'] the roses on the vines are a nice touch :) i like how you made her blend well into the background XD overall lovely wall ^^

I really don't know where to begin. I wish I knew, but there are just so many wonderful things to state about this wallpaper that I really can't. Neko, you've become on HELL of a waller. Literally. This is, by far, one of the best walls I've seen in a long time. I could ramble on and on about this, like I use to, but words can't begin to describe this wall. Only thing I can really say is something this amazing should be highlighted. Fav definately.

This simply gives me ideas. Very well then. I'm off to put those ideas to work. But, before I do, I want to tell you my thoughts as I layeth my sight upon this wall. I thought, your wall deserves recognition. So, here is mine. Your use of 2D shapes fits well with the FACT that the scan is a 2dimentional item. Yet, the way you placed them and fixed the sizes of each element shares the concept of the scan SEEMING as though it is 3dimentional. It is an original work of shapes and perspective. And I want to say thanks for the ideas. Although, those ideas are not what I described.
