My idea was make a scene with Kamui thinking about his future and my inspiration was the first part of the opening theme, eX dream.
"Of this world, the end is coming
Dreams and hopes do not matter
Inside your heart, you are sleeping but you will not wake up
Feel the hand of a future that can not be changed"
I mixed soft textures, played with colors (Ah so many times... You have no idea!) and added some classic photoshop effects.

The soft textures look so good and the color that you choose that is cool too. It's weird taht it's about the future and it's still so old-looking.

really gorgeous wallpaper ~ absolutely one of the best i have seen made from x ! scan you schoosed and the way you positioned it bit leaning forward makes kamui look more thoughtful and that way it carries out the idea of yours well ^_^ colouring is nicely brownish, it is on it's own way darkish but then again it has warming feeling which gives touch of hope. redish tones in shading emphasize the warming from the brown but also gives brightness. on the background light grayish tone gives calming and peacefullness, et it separates the character well from the background. like the colouring effect you made in the cape, the way it's like colours would be fading away. in the end colouring is smooth and different tones fit together prettily. soft pattern over the picture makes it look like painting and it makes it nice to look at
