This would have been a great entry for the Inspiration Project but sadly I'm a few days late XD
For this wall was heavily inspired by Flyin's great E7 "The Sunshine Underground" wall and her stylish
simplistic concept walls shes been doing lately. <3s for you
It all began when I stared at my desktop (flyins wall), trying to understand how she achieved a so brilliantly subtle vector when I realised it wasn't even vectored XD But the idea had grown on me to try something pastel soft and crisp. Plus I had just finished watching eureka seven (im late i know) and was searching for some scan. Stumbled upon this small image of Renton and Eureka from the ending of the series.
Vectored the outlines, watercoloured in PS and voila~
The title is from the 3rd OP "To the Center of the Sun" and the 2 lines are lyrics; "In the middle of
this hill where I sat back. It'll be great if I could fly to the sky, I muttered".
As much as I love flyin's wall, I think I like this one :3

That looks so like The Little Prince with the stars. The vectoring and painting looks good too. The soft colors mix well with the gray background. :D

I'm not going to lie, I absolutely love what you've done with this. The pastel like colors are really nice, even though I know you probably just stole them from the original scan... or maybe not? Oh wells... still a nice job, especially for working with such a small and crappy original scan. I guess I'm just going to have to add this wallpaper to my favorites ;D
Btw, did you use a little bit of textures? o_o

It looks like illustration from a children's book XD -
This somehow reminds me of 'The little Prince' by St Exupery (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_little_prince). The use of pastel, the planet surrounded by stars, it all makes me think of that story...
Oh, and there's also a bit of Planetes in this as well, or maybe i'm just associating too many things with it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planetes_manga_summary)Anyway, it's a wonderful wall ;), with great colors and emptiness, which strenghten the 'union' between the characters... full of hope as well.
