My current anime/manga obsession is always changing, and recently it's Hikaru no Go that I can't get enough of. So while I'm in that mood I decided to make me a HnG wall.
I hunted around a bit and found two scans I liked but which were quite small and less than great quality. So I vectored or re-cged (or whatever the heck the right terms are) them. Note to self never ever vector Touya Akira again - so much HAIR! I gave Hikaru a new shirt colour and pattern while I was at it - the basic pattern came from a papercraft site which offers patterns you can print out to use as origami paper - though I can't remember which site it was..
Then I tried about 20 or so different ideas for the BG, all of which were crap. ^_^' Finally I settled on this relatively simple bg which is meant to be sunlight coming through some trees in autumn colours. Finished off by messing around with different overlay effects on the two boys.
All in all this took me about a fortnight [working on and off] and many layers to create yet another really simple looking wall. Sigh.
EDIT - Updated with a few minor changes, mainly the removal of the light patches on Touya's neck and shoulder.

There is a severe shortage of HnG wallpapers, but this one is great!
