It's a mess Dementia. A complete and utter bloody mess. One has a hard time trying to figure where it starts and where it ends. And somehow, that's right within it's self. Granted, the base art is a crowd-drawer and the Death Note series in either manga or anime is a psychological shell-shock to the system. Presumably this chaos of colour and texture is used wishes to reflect just how much insanity our primary character actually keeps within his mind. Or perhaps I'm looking into it too much. This is the kind of work you have to look at three times or more to decide which part of it you like. I'm not sure about any of it at the moment, but it certainly got my attention and for that I had to say something. ^__^
