Artist Comment
This is the first time Ive ever done a 100% original painting and drawing, (ie no sources of poses or any references etc..) so tis really really sucks, and all the anatomy, face r so screwed up. Im uploading it cuz I wanted to keep a scan of the painting. The 1/6 of the left side is cut off (the tree!) by the scanner btw.
This is a christmas gift to my mum's friend, so Ill nvr see it again! (thank god) Maybe that was another reason why I took very little effort as I knew that I wasn't going to keep it. ^_^'
I thought I could flicker paint but it was too messy and random and not very snowy, so I dabbed the snow with opaque watercolours. I hated the way it turned out though, cuz it looked too neat. I was scared to do snow on the girl as well. Her dress is really daft, and I had no idea why I drew it. @_@. (She is an original character design of mine for my art folio.) My favourite part is the tree! (wow i can paint trees at least) But most of it is cut off.
Anyway to sum up, this is a disaster! As usual plz comment so i can improve. ^_^' Oh and I forgot to mention MERRY CHRISTMAS everybody!

XD ..it looks really lovely and excellent for a first original! i wouldn't have thought! because the face and the anatomy are very much like the previous ones, so do not fret. plus great work with the eyes! i just think the mouth is a little bit too above /near the nose, just my opinion. ^_^' or a few more hair strand details bring out the hair. :D this is overall a good artwork once again from you! Haha isn't like all artists to over critise their work? K maybe not all artists - but I know what you mean when you have this fantastic idea in your head - and then when you put it to paper it looks like nothing that you planned!
I think this is a fabulous first original! Your character is very cute!
Anatomy: It's pretty much good - the only real problem I have with it is her right hand and fingers - I think a bit more shapely -at the moment she kind of doesn't have a wrist and her pinky finger is a little too far away from the other fingers - and I think her mouth is a little too high on her face - but that's just me being a little picky ^.^
As for your snow, I don't know - I like the snowy effect - it looks soft and gives a nice feel to the image.
Don't be too hard on yourself! It's a wonderful doujinshi and a wonderful picture for Christmas :)

I like the colours, very bright and cheerful, and the watercolour looks very neat, esp her hair (though maybe the background could have a bit of variation in colour?). The anatomy looks fine as far as I'm concerned :) though I think her mouth probably could be darkened to see her smile better ^___^

It's wonderfully cute :) I like it. You should try a finer or harder pencil next time to produce more details.
