mmm... what can i say. this is not the xmas spirit anyway ^^
the name of the wallpaper is a song of Strapping Young Lad and for who dont know, my userpage is based on a cover of
this canadian band... "City". as the lyrics are a little hard, here the link to the lyric. this wallpaper have the
name of this song, but the mainly source of inspiration was the album of Anathema: A Fine Day To Exit. the last night I
barely slept and this disc was my inspiration for finish it.
as details, the lights on the room coming from the window and the TV
the light of the windows seems blurry, why? because is night and you are sleepy ^^'
the chara was vectorized on Illustrator
tha room is from niea under seven artbook ( niea will be the chara of my happy wallie for xmas ) scan
in this wallie i used brushes. long time that i didnt do that.
if i remember something else i will say it later ...i guess.

the vectoring is really nicely done :) i like the concept of your wall and the way it is portrayed XD the colours all blend well together and the room is really nicely done :D i like the way the lighting is done and overall nice wall ^^

You have a "wicked sense of humour, my friend. I LOVE it !" The scene has a dream like aura which if one was dreaming the dream, it would be more of a nightmare of the ghostly feel to it. Gotta luv the Santa sitting down in the chair. He looks like he had a "mental lapse of Insanity" going on. Why, there's a hand on the floor. Could that belong to a child, hmmm. That looks a job for the detectives/ police.
The light, not a natural one at that. you have done very well. You have shown us viewers a "dark paasage " to an alternative world of Christmas. Many people see only what they want to see in Christmas. To some people, they want to see the darker side. You sir, have shown us the door, dare we enter ? As people are wont to know, if we are not careful, curiosity can kill.
Seeing the teddy bear in the corner by itself, perhaps showing the emotional disarray of the man sitting in the chair after commiting a crime. He has his hands , like in a prayer. To his God, only God and him know of it. Perhaps, he prays for salvation, but there is none for him.
He truly knows the meaning of having a Red Christmas. Thanxs for the share ! A most unique gift you have shared with me, my friend. I tip my hat to U !

quite definitely, one of those walls that touched the attention of the brain numb of xmas, and brought back the old shine in dark minds...
while the santa is not ideal in form of happy man with a beer belly and jolly outlook, the whole dark concept gave it depth, and the man has a feeling of darkness... he looks at you and asks: " so boy, what can I get you tis' xmas...? How is the gun you always wanted?" -
