Artist Comment
The original illustration by Noizi Ito was taken from the novel, The Wavering Of Suzumiya Haruhi. This scene can also be seen in the anime in episode 12.
The Vector had about 8 layers total, tried to keep it as close to the original illustration as possible. For the colors I just used some screenshots of the anime to get them right. I vectored the tree from a small .gif file on the internet somewhere. I used some grass brushes and leaf brushes I picked up over at deviantart. The wallpaper itself had 14 layer so I could get the opacity for the shadows and the blurry leaves, and the cloud shadows and so on and so on.
Total time it took me I'd say....14 hours tops...thats probably being generous.

well, the grass brush doesn't match ... You should of somehow vectored some grass, yes I know that isn't easy, don't hit me. I like the added leaves, maybe a tad too blurry. But it's good other than those few things, good job on the tree trunk. -
