Artist Comment
I used a Range Murata scan I got here at MT and then did a median soft light filter to brighten and clean the scan. I used some feather/wing brushes to paint on the wings. Added shines to her eyes and accessories. Used a special effects glitter brush to add â?pixie dustâ? then used the pen tool and a round brush to paint the bg. Add a pinch of outer glow to her and the wings, and a inner glow to the biggest circles and VIOLA my wallie.
It took about 6 hours to paint everything in and about 50 layers. Each little colored glow was placed individually and tweaked to perfection. The glittery stuff was added very slowly and carefully to get it EXACTLY where I wanted it and NOT all over her. I painted in some of the strands in her hair that were too whispy to extract well.
I blended her into the BG a little so she was PART of over all pic, not on top of it. OH! I also pain-stakingly detailed the wings and her hair so that some of the strands ended up between feathers. That took some time. :)
