Been a while huh? Well, the dork mentioned this collab thing a while ago. So a few weeks ago I told him I wanted to do a collab, for christmas, featuring Haruhi. I gave him the scan I wanted to use, he vectored it, very awesomely I must admit. It took me a while to come up with the background, real life has been hectic with holidays and work. Took me 2 weeks to finish I think, hour wise 4. I'm slow when it comes to walling, I also trash things to redo it all over when it doesn't look right.
Basically, everything is done in my favourite program Photoshop CS. I used some leaf brushes to do the tree, fiddiling with the settings, since it was more of a stamp kind of brush. Used another brush to create the shading for the tree. Same thing for the garland, and the lights was a simple circle and outer glow. The main issue was the angle, it looks right to me. The presents were annoying at first, trashed the original, fluke knows xD .. I asked him what else I should put, he said "milk and cookies" .. laughing at that idea for a moment, thought it would be kinda cute. Somehow I did the milk glass so amazingly realistic, might be too much, although I tried to fix it. The snowflakes in the back are shapes from Photoshop, thought it gave more of anime-esque look. I did some lighting effects to set the night mood.

Hmmm...ya I like the background...but I think the vector looks hideous...who the hell did you get to do it?! Man I tell ya, dude needs some practice xD
