Very neatly done. The outline and bold colors are really neat. Keep up the great work!

More sizes and, like, cool

When I first saw this scan, I thought the
white ruff of Ed's red jacket looked like a Santa suit. For some reason, I decided to then use that scan for my annual
winter wallpaper, despite the fact that Ed is not actually wearing a Santa suit. Go fig.
The other reason I walled this scan was that the sign read "Route 65" (as it was the color illustration for
chapter 65.) Well, I used to live less than a mile off of a spur of Route 66 as it made its way through Southern
California towards the Pacific Ocean. Along Rte 66, there's certain tendancy for autoshops, gas stations and other
businesses along the road to have the number "66" in their name. There's also the prevalance of classic 50's
diner fast food restaurants (including an early McDonald's where the golden arches were still a part of the building's
architecture instead of just being on a sign). A lot of nostalgia is still associated with good ol' Route 66 despite the
fact its golden age is long over.
Obviously, the Route 65 sign had to be replaced. Other than that, I covered the desert in snow (hey, it's supposed to be
my winter wallpaper!)
This a straight trace. The coloring style was an experiment to try and emulate some of the classic comic pop-art style
with its bold, saturated colors and the stronger emphasis on black as the shadow color. I stumbled upon the Marsh Rocket webcomic just when I was beginning to plan this
wall, and decided that Jules' style was perfect.

It's so bright! It looks over-contrasted but you purposefully did that so I can't complain (darn it! lol) Nah, it's a neat vector work as always and the colours actually look nice. I got to love the rabbit and the signpost.
PS - Ed does look like Santa. lol

I agree - Ed does have a certain Santa quality about him in the scan, and even more so in your wall. I also think it's funny you took a desert scene and made it snow. XD It's also very convincing...but that means I have to question why Ed is wearing fur in a desert in the first place? I really like the color scheme (over contrasting that eunasahng mentioned), it suits a winter pic since whenever I go outside I know I squint in bright sunlight in terrain covered with snow. It reminds me of that.
Due to Al's ability to not stay in a saddle very well it'd be kind of cool if you could give him a huge bag of goodies slung over his back - sort of like he's Santa-Ed's pseudo sleigh. lol. Anyway, very nice work! -
Oh...I like the way that you colored everything. :D
It looks really cool and the vectoring is very neat as always. :) -
xmas spirit! ^_^ nice vectoring with lines and colors, very clean. i like how you didnt color everything, but left a lot of white space, implying colors. the sign looks wonderful, not at all out of place. good job! +fav

Beautiful! O.o I love it. It's my new Desktop wallpaper!

this is so cute. :)
i like the way you colored it too -
An great idea to make a snowy winter wallpaper out of the base scan, though I think it's missing the most important thing - Santa's bag with presents!
An excellent work technically, as usual. -
Wow, that is blinding. I think a nice bluish grey for the background sky would have been nice, but if this is the style you wanted to try, sure, why not. The concept is very cool, though. I love the re-coloration of the horses, actually, it's a neat look. Ed's shiny new coat is awesome. Also, that Route 66 sign rocks. Apparently Ed and Al are on their way to getting their kicks. Neat wallpaper.

What's rong with Al? Can't he ride a horse?
