With the exception of the buildings (they were extracted from a stock photo), everything was hand-brushed in Photoshop. I was originally going for a "bowl" object over the cityscape, and played around with it until I ended up with this.
This ended up at exactly 50 layers, which is a whopping large number for me (it's usually like, 25-30 layers)! Didn't take too terribly long to make really, just RAM started wearing down, and brushing got tedious...
For some special effects, I just took a soft brush and started slapping on paint effects...played with it some more, and here's what I got.
Usually, I like adding a stock and scan, then brushing over the stocks for added effects...this is one of the few times I actually tried created the background myself.

It's really pretty ^^; but i think it'll be better if the background was a castle or something, cause the buliding dun see to match =< but that's my opinion other then that it's really really well done -thumb up-
It is drawn really neatly.
the scan is really awesome...and the bgr is well done..
the thing i like most is that it is really neatly...
i luv it
Beautiful wallpaper! Just a small question: How much RAM does it took when you got that much layer?
Great wallpaper, but it could be better if the characters' faces & expressions are more clearly defined, in overall terms, well done, keep up the good work.
