this is not clean, it is beyond clean!
So yeah, I picked the scan mostly because I really didn't feel like vector or work on a low qual scan or vector. I don't like vectoring! That's right! And this is no vector!
The ceiling, wall and green corner thing are all recreated/CGed/painted from scratch, and I think I did a pretty darn good job since it almost looks better than the original scan. The door was reCGed because I was lazy, too many details. Characters were Uber-cleaned. Added text and changed some hues so it could be acceptable for the gallery. click for MT scan

Good on you candy on the uber clean job on the scan. It's neat and simple, although it would have taken hell of a lot of time to get it to this level (I would have just vectored it which would probably take longer than you'd take to wall lol). But it's looking quite nice. Love the bright colours.PS - why am I not surprised when I read you say "I don't like vectoring!" >_<

Actually I like it better with cleaned scans instead of vectors for the most part, it preserves the original line quality and those little nuances of pen pressure. Are you in NY already?
