Yay another wallpaper again, I guess I have to much time left >_>

Well this one features Hokuto, ying-yang master Subaru's twin sister. Though she tends to be pretty hyperactive I was quite fond of her, she was one of the few CLAMP characters to be not swallowed up by her own self pity (think about X >.<).

The scan was found on Aethereality.net, I vectored it and while I was at it I killed her silly cap, and her kimono pattern (too much Mokona for me) >:-D. Colours were kept almost as they were in the original, though I have another version with different colors, which I'll upload in the vector section, ... maybe. I always wanted to try this arrow scheme you see quite often in simplistic walls, that's what came out.

Resources for this wall are:

Hybrid-Genesis.net and Squidfingers for the patterns
Desktop Anime for the brushes
Morguefile for stock image of the skyline.

Edit:
Made an addiotional version, the colors are changed as well as the pattern on her kimono. so chose your favorite one :pacman:

I love this wall! I agree, Hokuto is one of Clamp's characters (though in defense of the self pity ones, the point is to show how most of them overcome their grief). I love the pattern on her kimono, and the overall vector is nice and smooth. ^_^ Great work! This is a definate fav!

The orange toned one gave a bright sense of happiness to the desktop of mine, and the slightly purple one gave an excellent blend of very feminine styles to it, I dunno ,I find colors that are deep dress her up more appropriately.
Excellent vector in terms of shape and everything else, like garments, the whole arrow thing reminds me of uninspired Ipod walls, but this one of course, is quite nice as it keeps the tradition of a lady and the moderness of neu art.
    Cool and hip.

Lady Erdbeermilch; i understand what your trying to say [do] with this wall but the colors [of both versions] are too strong and clash..

I had no idea Hokuto ever wore outfits this normal; makes a lovely wallpaper, at any rate. Thank you!

Very strong colours and while it's not something I'd put on my desktop due to the colours, I love the character (Hokuto is hugely underestimated in the manga) and the design.
Oh, and I like the green version better, of course!

I like the colours a lot. Definitely cool wallie =]

I love the color and texture of her outfit. The silhouetted buildings in the background, offset with different greens, are very cool. The "blotches" add landscape to an otherwise flat background, but at the same time they make the wallpaper look dirty (covered in dirt and stains, not the other kind of dirty). It's an interesting visual effect, but in the end I'm not sure I like it. The butterflies are thankfully few and far between, but in my opinion could be even fewer and further between...as in, non-existant. They add nothing to the wallpaper, serving only as superfluous decoration. The arrows and words within are very cool, I certainly can't complain about anything there. Overall, a very nice wallpaper. Of the two versions, I do prefer this green one, if only because the purple one is too dark and looks even dirtier.
