Ok first of all to start off this is my entry for UA's Copycat theme. My wall of the copy catting kind is kakitsubata's Samurai Poses
Now the subject is different, Naruto vs Samurai Champloo but here is my points on what I have stolen *cough* I meant copied.
Kaki va Evo The Similarities
1. Nature style background - Just a few tree branches to my bamboo. Nice and Simple.
2. Textures on the background - Mine stands out a bit more than Kaki's does but you can see it if you stare at
it.
3. Textures on the Characters - Kaki's stands out a bit more than mine but while I was meant to copy it I wanted to
make it more suttle.
Kaki va Evo The Not So Similarites
1. While Kaki's characters covers the full wallpaper mine only covers 3/4 so I guess thats points off for Evo.
2. Kaki's text is on the characters...mine is in that ugly blank spot.
So thats pretty much all I can point out about the 2. Personally Kaki's is way better but hey I should be talking my own work up *clear throat* I will give you a cookie if you say mine is equally good or I will take half as good hehehe.
Now for the other stuff that had nothing to do with Kaki :D
Scan Source: Me, scanned it from my doujinshi
Time to Complete: 8-9 hours
Layers Background: 36
PSD Size: 32.8mb
Music Inspiration: Naruto Soundtrack 1 - 3
Now for pimpage Yes just click it...if not Misa will force us to do Vectoring with Photoshop *shudders*

Yay for Evo!
I read your comment at UA about having the scan blend in with the background, and I guess the only thing I can say about it is that colour adjustment and also the same "quality" of scan and background together would work better. I'm surprised you picked kaki's samurai pose wallpaper :P
To blend in your one... maybe another layer of the scan, with some massive (select magic wand, select the scan, right click, feather) feathering will make the edges kinda fade out ish. And if you stick that under the main scan, it probably would give out that feathered feel. Even a slight gaussian blur instead of a feather would probably work- and the same thing for the background :P
But I really like this piece because you've picked out the important aspects of kaki's wallpaper and then translated it into this *_* *thumbs up*

You know what Evo I'm supposed to be browsing around OFFLINE during my study leave week but your wall FORCED me to log in and comment on this one. >_<
WAI~ *throws cookies all over the place*
Sexy~ I mean, the wall is sexy, not Sasuke. You really pulled this one off. I thought you might use scan of similar anime series... but gosh the style is the same, it's really a plus!
*drools* Japanese paper umbrella and bamboos just hit the spot. Plus such brownish-sepia coloured wall is really bringing the asian feel to this. Stunning~ XD
P/s Lampy got so overexcited, just look at the light goes on and off over and over.

Nice copycat. It has been copied very subtly... I like that. The colours suit really well and the bamboo looks nice.-Shira

looks great, whether or not it's a copycat. As long as you give the credits to what you've copied to the original creator, and they don't mind, I don't mind. :) I like the wallpaper. :) Thanks so much for sharing.
