This looks pretty good for your first wallpaper. :) I like the blue and the suggestions that I would make is that you should take out some of the swirls because it looks weird with the empty faroff background. But keep it up!

hmm.. first of all.. I can see pretty serious extraction problems of the scan.. @_@ The scan is not cleanly extracted and it looks pretty grainy too.. The scan and brushes are being cut half way too.. >.< And i think that the brush is oversized... It looks pretty rough there.. And the grid of the square is pretty messy on the bottom right... x_X
Since it is ur first wallie, i can say that it is a pretty good try.. Just try amending all the faults over here and improve while practising, i'm sure u'll make it..
I need to tell you thst the whole concept of the wallie is pretty good and i like it alot.. Ganbatte ne!~ :D i hope that my comments are not too harsh.. Gomen!~ T_T -
