I first attempt at taking a scan of my sketch and shading and colouring in photoshop. The scan itself was a lot messier then I released, meaning I had to do a lot of cleaning before even beginning to colour. If there is still some dottiness, that is through my inattention and not due to the quality of the up load.
As for the BlueMenace bit, thats my ragnarok name. I mainly play on ORO, but I haven't been there in a while (Uni and all getting in the way).
As for the cards (for slotted items), I'm pretty sure that it isn't an original idea, but I can't pin point where I have seen it before, and a friend said he had never seen it done like that before. If you know where my subconscious has gotten it from, tell me, as it has been bugging me.
I tried to remain as faithful to the original design of the ragnarok sprites (here a novice and a high priestess) but the piece of cloth what hangs down on the novice I shortened to make it cuter. I struggled with shading the hair, I never released what I do naturally in pencil is hard when dealing with a mouse and old version of photoshop (I'm still using 7.0).
I started naming all my layers, but by the end I was getting lazy, and leaving then unnumbered. This created major problems, and I learnt my lesson to stop being lazy and continue to name all layers with what they are. The unnumbered layers got up to 70 before I went through and renamed then, so I cant really tell you how many layers this had.
