Hey guys! I'm back from stagnation again ^_^' I just finished Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria (loved it! ^_^) and wanted to make a wall so badly. Also, the inspiration came from the song Lunar Sanctum by Kamelot (I love them too!).
Hrist Valkyrie is such an awesome character, and yet there are practically no good artworks of her :sweat: So, I scanned the CG of her from the back of my video game box. It was a nightmare cleaning it up and drawing in parts of her outfit that were covered by screenshots, but in the end I'm very pleased with it.
The flowery field and castle were originally from large screenshots that I redrew in Paint Shop. I tried to keep them with a bit more of a painted feel to fit with the style of the game. And of course, it's not Valkyrie Profile without the petals flying everwhere.

Very cool scan. The sky is really pretty. The different blue colors together look so good. Nice lighting as well. Oh and I like that castle back there. All those sparkles give it a magical feeling. And such pretty grass! And the whole fog/mist back there looks nice too. Well great job!

Really nice job with the perspective. I love that view from a little bit below the horizontal, sort of looking up towards the character. Everything looks really nice, but Im thinking the grass looks really...dark and dull compared to everything else in the wall. Like, from the valkyrie's feet and above, theres some kind of light, but in the grass there is none. So what if you put in little firefly looking particles in the grass. I think it would really brighten up the wall and give a celestial feeling. I like those flowers! If you put a new layer over them and add some white in the middle of each flower, and smudge it outwards, I think it would add some really nice dimension highlight to the flowers rather than just looking like a brush.

I'm in the middle of playing that game, I've been playing it for over 30 hours...it's awsome...I remembered playing the first one, I didn't love it as much as this one...
Anyway,
cool, I love how you re-painted a screenshot, the wallpaper totally reminds you of the opening of the game. Hrist isn't my favorite (I prefer Silmeria) but I can't deny that this is a great looking wallpaper. -

I think this wallpaper should be violet because violet fits Hrist but it's great anyway <3.
