hey hey, the drawing's fabulous not to mention the outline :) the only thing is the colouring's sloppy lol..nice shades too..don't fret too much about it.

I know....it's terrible. This took me about..3 hours to draw. I saw this picture in a Nakayosi book (again), so I
felt bored and began to sketch it. Then I thought that it looked a bit plain, so I outlined it, then colored it with
pencil crayons.
I darkened it a bit with Photoshop after, but everything else was hand-drawn. I'm not too proud of this picture,
but this is the first time I didn't swrew up when I outlined, so I guess it's okay ^_^'.

Actually, I think it's pretty good. Sure, there are some flaws here and there, like around the mouth, but overall it was very well drawn. The outlines are not too rough but are clear enough, very natural, so on that, I salute you :P However, the colouring is very rough; you could see the lines of the colouring. You could have tried to smooth it up a bit, either by taking a tissue and rubbing on the colour or using photoshop's blur tool (although I've never tried the second option).
But all in all, I think you're wrong to think it's terrible; it's worth a lot more than you think :)

I think the bg is the main source of your problem. It's still ok if its white (though I love black ^^; ). Remember white is a design. Anyway good luck with more of your works. :)
