How come Auron doesn't use his left arm for much? It just kinda sits in his jacket. I think he takes it out when he fights, but why not the rest of the time? He doesn't look cool. He looks like Napoleon.

He does that because samurai were notorious for doing that. He can use his arm, but it's there as a homage.
