Uh! Well, i dunno.... I really havent done much for the past months, and all i really submited was my latest vectors, and some other stuff. SO! this time i finally made a wall i always "well, yeah kind of" wanted to make. The bg as you see was a picture, but i liked it so much i thought of walling it. There are many filters TONS of grunge brushes, some textures, and others things. The scan i also loved, and it was also very easy to work with. The way she looks is just so CUTE! ^^

Well, since now my Valleyball team for school has finally ended i will get home MANY hours earlier, so i may have more time on making walls! XD Yay! arnt i happy! :)
Anyways, this is my BIG HEAD start, i hope! and well, please comment, and fav if you REALLY! like it, kay.

Thanks for everything, and also all the support with my other walls, i am happy they are getting a lot of etention! ^^ Thank you!

PLEASE JOIN OUR GROUNPS! they are a lot of fun! ^.~

i like it....i think all the bgr is nice, and the girl is also very cute. The bridge is really good looking, but i think it's a little too realistic. Other than that..it's really nice...

hey, is that Yoshida from Shakugan No Shana, right?

nice background, and that Yoshida looks ghostly transparent. :)

I do like the work that you have done with the wallpaper. I really like the glows that are in front of the scan as well. However you are copying someone else's style. The style that you are featuring here is very similar to Pinkprincesslacus's work, particularly her work of 'Amber Nights'. It would be more admirable of you to develope your own style instead of copying other styles. Maybe you could mix your own style with others so that you can learn more about digital art, but mirroring other styles is not the way to do it. I hope that you have fun developing your own unique style!

It's not bad, I like the textures and brushes.
But the scan is sketchy looking, doesn't reflect in the background.
Eheh, nice work though, I love the tones! =D

i like the background and the colour scheme you used in your wall XD the background looks a bit too real but the textures add a nice touch :D i like the concept of your wall and overall nice wall ^^

it's not! Lacus-san really wanted to do abstract grunge in her work. in kioko's work, she still wants to portray a clear landscape through the use of textures. who said we can't always apply grunge and textures to our works? if you think she's copying Lacus-san's work, then I've made a textured work that was done even before Amber Nights. Now who's copying? Plus, the use of Japanese landscape is totally kioko style!

We artists have styles on what we want to portray our work, in fact people can't become great artists if we apply a little of other's techniques into our own; it's what we deviate into something of our own style. am i picking up a fight? well, it's up to you, i just want to state clear that you don't have to corner kioko in a corner with those words, as if specific artists are copycats. you praise Lacus but you don't know she won't achieve that unless she also learning techniques from other people too. want sepia masters? try looking at anakee's work. plus, what we're doing is not COPYING, it's LEARNING techniques.

gee, *huff* i really am a hothead? ^^ kioko has done many good wallpapers; in fact she's an all around in art styles like me so why say those hurtful words?

    now back on the wall...
kioko, the texturing is fine.. maybe the wood looks too realistic; it's like a mix of a sepia photograph and a textured mural. the reflections (sparks) on her dress is nice.. however i don't see the need to use it on the bridge. ^^

You did an awesome job blending the charater and the photograph background. It almost looks seamless and the color scheme match great. This is the best photo + anime combination wallpaper that I can recall seeing.

  15. melymay Oct 13, 2006

I agree.. The scan you used is cute ^^ But the scan kinda stands out because it's drawn in a different style than the background.. Maybe you should of made it look less scratchy looking.. Everything else looks great ^^

  16. mikan-sakura Oct 13, 2006

love the bg it's so nice done :)
although the wood and tree (on the right side) looks a lil too realistic ><
anyway good job + fav ^^

  17. Rhonda21 Oct 14, 2006

oh this is so pretty! You did a great job with fixing the background to match so well with the cute girl. It still looks a bit realistic but still good. The colors are nice as well. Well great work!

what I like best on this wall is the soft hues of it that covers like a viel of yesterday's sephia tones. With the lighting perfectly aimed at the right nagles that give excellent feeling over the soft wallpaper.
I am no fan of Noiji Itoh but this piece brings out the soul in the correct environment and most fitting for my eyes.
