hmm seem to me you vector the whole thing... and other then that there doesnt seem to be any effects to make a background... but i would give you credit for the vector...

The image is beautiful. The drawing is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen.
The tones (shadows, midtones, and highlights) look really good.
