It's Hakkai! Aww ^^ He's my favorite character from the series.
Actually, it's been a looong time since I last made a wallpaper. But after watching some of Saiunkoku Monogatari, I was tempted to look for images and saw Marissa's gallery of bishies from the series. Unfortunately, what came out of my efforts doesn't fit for any of them... So I used this manga image of Hakkai I had stashed away in my folders ^^
Anyways... Onto the actual wall! The central background image was made fiddling around with layers and brush history, I believe it's called, on Photoshop. With the original colors, didn't look as definitive as it does after I changed it to black and white. Looks more like almost a grave image now... Though, that turned out that way by pure coincidence.
As for the extraction, I had a hard time with the hair. I know it looks like crap, but it was the best I could do considering that it's a black and white manga image. The shading put in by the artist made it hard to tell where I needed to cut it off and all. I tried to eliminate all the white I could around the tips of his hair, but apparently, I have no clue what I'm doing cuz I couldn't get rid of all of it.
Image source, I honestly don't know anymore. I had no marks on the filename of where I found it, so I can't quite give out the credit for who put it up, or even where I got it from. But it definitely wasn't from me!
