Yes! Finally, i actually managed to make a wallpaper for the first time in my life!
I had to go through many testing and trials until I was satisfied.
The background in this wallpaper of Hitsugaya Toushirou, I had to take a long time to find a Japanese Palace. Then I had to eliminate the buildings and sky around it & replaced it with a much better sky. I felt black and white gave the feeling of coolness so I went with it. Next, was cleaning up the scan. Wow! This is what really consumed my time and effort. Getting rid of jagged lines, weird pixels and odd colours required a lot of patience but it was worth it.

HAHAHA! No, i dont think so. I have seen ads mostly on Honey & Clover and Paradise Kiss. This is actually a computer project for school but I made a few changes before i submitted here. And the theme IS an Ad!

Now that I read that this was for an assigned project: the title/banner makes a heck of a lot more sense. You may want to ad this in your description. I was questioning the reasoning behind it.
About the wall: I do like the background with the black and white accented by the pink cherry blossoms. That is a cool idea. Very nice and serene. However, the extreme gray scale of the stuff under the banner...that doesn't work so well in my opinion. If that's part of the same background it needs to stay consistent in the coloring. And definitely shouldn't have so many effects applied to it if you'd rather keep it gray-scale. Its distracting when compared to the poised colors of the cherry blossoms when turning into harsh grays for no reason (other than the banner). So I'd really like to see that toned down. Also, since your character isn't really standing on anything a shadow of some sort under his feet would give the illusion that he is standing on something rather than just floating.
Great job incorporating it and extracting the palace.
Great work cleaning the scan. It looks great! And I can't even tell that you'd put a new skyline in for the background, I assumed that was the original sky.
Wow this is awesome! Fine textures, the writings below with the blue line blends with the designs on the bg. Great work for a first timer! It's an elite work!

Everything looks great, but I think you should've put the word
"bleach" in bigger font so it would stand out more.. Extracting could
be a bit better too.. It looks like your blurred out the parts with bad
extraction...
The background does looks really pretty though
And
as for the Nocturnal gallery.. I accept it ^^ Keep up the good walling!
