well then. it has been sometime i do believe since i've submitted.

This is an image drawn in my old style, well maybe not my old style, but it is very much smilebit like. However in this i attempted to emulate Chinese aesthetic and perspective. Whether or not I was successful isn't really important.

My chinese is rusty so the poem, as incoherent as it was in english, probably isn't the best translation. Also I couldn't read very well the small characters in my dictionary so they also might very well be written wrong. If they are and if my grammar is bad and incorrect, please correct me.

The poem is as follows. My translation of course.

Anxious for her safety.
They went on a walk together.
Lost in the mists of time.
A blue film.
The more it rains the more it goes on raining.
The glass was broken.

The small characters that are not very vissible at all is my name in Chinese. Ou Yangmu. I think it translates to Ocean Dusk or Ocean Seagull. Something of the sort, can't exactly remember and I was too lazy, and am too lazy to find out.

Finally this is a dedication to the wonderful author A.A. Milne as I have drawn Pooh Bear sitting there.

All of that is hopefully all i need or feel obligated to write. Cheers.

This is fantastic in the sense that it uses stricking colours and traditional style to bring out the good old works of A. A. Milne. It adds a new style and tone to the Abstract gallery. It is well set-out and drawn, clearly showing the potential of such artworks.

Really neatly done. Pooh is so cute and I love the way you did the water.
The yellow and pink colors kinda hurt my eyes though, they seem to all clash :\

I actually really like the clashing colours. I've always admired your sense of colour, throwing these seemingly different colours together yet creating something so funky.

Love your usual sense of design and like misa said, clashing colours. I like seeing more traditional themed art in here, so this is great!

Like everyone already mentioned--the color contrast is amazing! Really great effort and amazing display of talent. Thank you very much for sharing this, greatly appreciated!

Well done. It's really good to see such a new style in the gallery. Lovely use of contrasting distinct colours. It's lovely to see such a traditional style mixed in with the good old Winnie the Pooh. Lovely work. *highlighted*

Beautiful :) So many colours :D And they don't clash. I like the way you've positioned everything, it feels like a painting =]

Oh well, it does give a scroll kinda feel... but I wouldn't call it "traditional art". Its too colourful I think. Of course, colour is a good thing. Haha... Having 3 moderators in your first 5 comments isn't something that happens often I think... The art-style seems simple but the effect is clear and nice. And I liked your choice of colours. Probably the only complaint I'll really have of this is that the chinese characters are... umm... wrong here and there. It looks weird when u squeeze 2 words in one space as if they were a single word...

You really have your own sense of colours, on your older works I fount it almost provocating, completely random, but little by little I must say I got to like it and admit it naturally. As if the feeling went through finally xD Anyway enough talk, love how flat it appears... at first.

i really like this one for it's postcard-ish look, and moreover - a japanese one. it brings this oldschool feel that's hard to describe, but i'd say one could find such near some temples or nature monuments at a small shop run by an old japanese lady. the color use is amazing, especially the fact that you put different shades of same color instead of going into many different ones - like the sky and the sun, or the water and waterfall etc. the colors aren't natural, rather popart-ish - and that's what i like about it too. all in all - very nice. i'd love to see a printout.
