Sweet work monchi~! Minimalism at its best, for sure x)
*updates the project page* :D Thanks bunches for the description update :3
The kodamas are mourning for a fallen autumn leaf!
[Background info: the kodamas are from Princess Mononoke which they are supposed to be forest creatures that help
preserve the greens.]
My walling inspiration: Interpretation/Storytelling
I love pictures that tell a thousand words. I love artworks that have meanings beyond the pretty colours. With
anime/manga walling, I usually try to relate it back to the original story and give a short intro in the description so
that people may become interested to read/watch it.
Specifically with this wall, my inspiration came from Ghibli/Miyazaki's trademark quirks of having mystical creatures, characters with child-like innocence/mannerism and messages about the nature - here showing the kodamas getting upset over the leaf dropping, almost like a child losing a candy.
That said, this wall came about like accidental babies.
Seriously, it's been a crazy month with my wedding coming up in a few months and I've got a million things to
do. Yet coming home tonight at 11pm I had a massive urge to wall which I really want to (and have to) finish tonight -
or else I won't have time for another 2-3 weeks when I get back from holidays. Need for speed.
With the Simpleism project in mind, a super-minimalist wall is the go - not as much details to go through because I want
to sleep at some point tonight x_x
Choosing a Ghibli idea was an easy decision - totally adore their stuff and Princess Mononoke is no exception, so
I'm glad to have finally made a Ghibli wall. For the Vectorness challenge too.
Well it's 5am now (lolz!) but I did it - my fastest walling ever: 6hrs from concept through completion. And killed 2 birds with 1 stone too - sweet!
Drop me a message for more resolutions.
Hope you like it - cheers! ^^
An entry for the Animepaper's September Vectorness challenge - Ghibli in Autumn and Minitokyo's Simpleism challenge.
PS. I don't come here much, try dropping me a message at http://supermonchi.animepaper.net if I don't respond quickly enough - sorry!

Now this is what we call simple, yes. But it is also a work of calculated design wich makes minimalism so much interesting. Not only this, but it is perfectly executed, and the bright colours make a great desktop with icon space! Mixing the Kodamas from Mononoke Hime and the theme of autumn is an original idea to work with. And supermochi clearly put some thought into this wallpaper, as it is participating in many cultural events. Cheers!
Proposed by flyindreams and highlighted by candy-chan.

ahh kawaii! they're adorable! I love the falling leaf idea, so cute! >.<
nice wallpaper, very clean and well-executed :)
Simplicity ftw! Totally in love with the concept, it's got a sweet touch of sentimentality, like ghibli. ^^
i love this. it's funny and one can only know by watching the movie. however, these things are also very scary and i think by making them nothing but black and white made them scarier. for some reason, i remember that they had a green hue to them and green is a soothing color. XD
Haha, I love it ^_^ I can't really point to a single thing that I like, but the whole thing is nice. I do like the quote though haha. Thanks for sharing ^_^

I really enjoyed that movie, and I've never really come across a prominent wallpaper from the movie; until now! The simplicity is assenting and the kodamas just fit so congruently with the backround. Really great job, thank you for sharing this!
So simple, yet striking. Really well set-out.
Lovely use of colours and simple design. You've done a great job with central focus.
Nice work. This deserves the highlight. ^^
So simple in both design and idea.
That's what makes it stand out. :)
Hahaha, this is so cute. I really love the bg colors. Keep up the great work!

Oh my! So cuuute!
Thanks for sharing!
ahha awsome pickture, you can tell a hundred storys with one picture.
i'm not particulary "striked" by this wallpaper though, still good effort. but i wished it had more depth into it, but the small characters is a start. i dunno but its not the simplicity that puts me off, i think its more of the color which makes it a tad bit futuristic, though i wished a more family-based color as to me, this picture abstractly depicts such values.
simple but great effekt! great idea ^.~
it shows the simple life of the forestghosts ^_^
Kodamas are the best at being awesome in orange :D
Awesome!
So simple but so well done! Love the orange ^^
