Here comes one long description. Skip to last paragraph if you wish not to read. X-P

The scan of Hitsugaya from meeve was simply irresistable. What captured me to it was dear Shirou-chan's serious, mulling expression as he held the flower in his hand. To me, what is most appealing about Hitsugaya is his precociousness. His ever serious behaviour is such a misfit with his height and looks. XD Which makes him so loveable!
Thus I decided to wall him. Autumn is my favourite season, and I feel it's the most romantic. As much as Hitsugaya's more of the winter guy, I wanted to imagine him alone in a park among falling leaves [and perhaps waiting to give the flower to *cough* Hinam--*cough*]. That sombre look on his face says SO MUCH! It felt so bittersweet, melancholic and perfect. <3
I vectored everything at first, but decided to add brushing instead for a softer touch. I made the brushing such that it resembled a drawing with crayons where blending was all possible. I wanted it to look like Hitsugaya was captured unaware by a painting. Also, I missed the drawings of scenery I did when I was younger with crayons.
To keep the soft feel I left out all the usual black vector outlines on the background. Brushing was took insanely long. It wasn't even brushing anymore, more like stamping as I applied everything click by click. But that enabled me to blend the background, so I guess it was worth it.
I also vectored Hitsugaya, leaving out the black outlines on the circumference of his body likewise. At first I tried to
put the same 'crayon-gradient' effect on him as well but it completely ruined the effect. Keeping him clear
and sharp makes him stand out of the background.

this is so beautiful. what captured my awe were the unique curves of the bg. in some way they compliment the scan very well, and it reminds me of a real artwork that i can't remember who did it. like a kiddy painting.. but this is added with softness and reall thrill of autumn.
really, even if the tress are already brown and yellow in collor, the grass is not? i'm just curious.. never seen autumn in real life anyway.. lol.. it was just an interesting fact if it's true.

Hitsagaya,this cute little guy simply looks good in every wall.Now I have to say the same as my sweet friend Simo-chan that you gave the perfect atmosphere,it really feels like automn and well it also seems a very romantic atmosphere....him waiting with a flower in his hands on a bench in a park,trees coloured in automn,leaves falling....really sweet atmosphere!The only thing is that you should also add a little bit of colour to the grass...I mean it is automn and also the grass changes the colour a little!
