Artist Comment
Trying out a different type of outlining technique in Illustrator. Decided to use a classic Chinese Dragon image as the
base, which I found with a Google image search. Idea is to make the outlines dynamic using an artistic brush. It takes
more work than one might imagine, since you have to constantly adjust the stroke weight to make the lines consistent,
but not nearly as much work as drawing the outlines as shapes. Good for artsy calligraphic brush-style artwork, like a
tattoo-styled dragon, probably not that useful for tracing anime artwork.
Note: This image is all outline, no filled shapes included.
The idea came from the magazine, Computer Arts
